Everything You Need to Know About Sanatan Dharma & Hindu Religion

Dharma is frequently interpreted as"responsibility,""faith" or"religious duty" and its significance is deeper, exposing concise English translation. Another related significance is"what is integral to something." Thus, an individual's dharma contains responsibilities that maintain him according to his inherent characteristics. Such features are both spiritual and material, creating two corresponding Kinds of dharma:

Sanatan dharma -- responsibilities performed according to somebody's substance (conditional) character and unique to the person at that specific period (see Varnashrama Dharma).

Who's a Hindu and the reason why we don't prefer conversions?

In fact, Hinduism isn't only about people who exercise it. Everybody who participates in the production and that shares part of God's eternal and constant obligations and owes her or his lifetime and allegiance to Him are a Hindu.

If you're living selflessly and doing your activities selflessly, you're a Hindu. If you're helping others, you're a Hindu. If you're living for God, at the service of God, and supplying your activities, you're Hindu. Should you take part in any way in God's eternal sacrifice known as invention, you're a Hindu.

This is the key not a lot of men and women understand. This is the reason why we don't actively go out searching for conversions and followers.

But, wise folks can inform others that because their responsibilities come from God, they shouldn't claim possession of these activities or reside indefinitely. Our spiritual scriptures aren't supposed to convert individuals but also to remind them of their requirement to reside independently and invisibly and prevent karma that originates from egocentric actions.

In the Hindu conception of the Earth, there are just two religions. The faith of the great (daiva) and also the faith of this wicked (asura). Living selflessly at the service of others is godly. Living selfishly yourself is bad. In the subsequent discussion, we'll elaborate on this idea.

What exactly do we mean by the term dharma?

In fact, there's absolutely no equal to this phrase dharma either in English or in any language. But at the most elementary level, dharma signifies your normal action or propensity.

By way of instance, in the event of an animal such as the dog, its own dharma, among other items, would be to eat and procreate, to be favorable with human beings, and also to bark and bark if it's exposed to extreme fear or agitation.

So far as the animals are involved, their dharma would be to meet their individual roles in production, living in accordance with their own natural instincts, serving as food to other creatures, and living against dangers and unpleasant nature. Because they lack intellect, their functions have been performed largely by Nature.

The dharma of gods or divinities is to aid individuals and other living beings and help God in Implementing His legislation, protecting individuals from bad, and maintaining righteousness on the planet.
